Evil Twin

02/16/2014 // R.W. "Doc" Boyle

Evil Twin? Might explain some things…

I’ve always been a good boy.
not much into sin.
But I seem to have a problem,
everywhere I’ve been,
everywhere I go, people pointing at me
like there’s something I don’t know.
Talking behind the hand,
or nodding with a grin,
my life’s a twisted strand,
because I have an evil twin!

I’ve never had a traffic ticket.
I never took a drink.
I would never stoop to jaywalk,
I don’t know what to think!
I’ve never seen a porno show.
Now, my picture’s in the Post Office,
is there something I should know?
The Tiger, never to Buck,
I doubt that I would win.
I think that all the good luck
went to my Evil Twin.

You haven’t had a problem
‘til you’ve had an Evil Twin.
The shock and melancholy,
when did it all begin?
How did it get to be?
Through muddlethink and touble dalk
that I am him and he is me?
Oh, a pox on this confusion,
about which one had the whim,
it’s only his delusion
that I’m his Evil Twin.
